Arrival Message from Ambassador Sheba Crocker
“I look forward to taking up my role in this center of multilateral diplomacy at a moment when working together is more critical than ever,” says Ambassador Crocker in this video message filmed just after her arrival in Geneva.
“Multilateralism is unquestionably still our best tool for tackling complex global challenges, like the COVID-19 pandemic, which has changed life as we know it across the planet. Geneva is where the world comes together to deliver life-saving humanitarian assistance, to ensure that human rights and dignity remain at the core of the international order, and to promote development and economic prosperity. From intellectual property protection – to labor rights – to bridging the digital divide, our work has the power to connect the world and build a better future.”
Bathsheba “Sheba” Nell Crocker was confirmed by the Senate on December 18, 2021, and sworn in on December 21, 2021, as U.S. Representative to the Office of the United Nations and Other International Organizations in Geneva, with the rank of Ambassador.
She presented her credentials to the United Nations in Geneva on January 18, 2022.
