U.S. welcomes Swiss intention to convene a Diplomatic Conference by the end of this year on the adoption of the Third Protocol to the Geneva Conventions

We, the U.S. Delegation, are pleased that after two days of informal discussions, the Swiss Government has announced their intention to call a diplomatic conference before the end of the year.   This is a very positive step towards the goal of making  the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement truly universal.
